Our 4 day walking holiday around Lanjaron, the gate way to Las Alpujarras, offers varied walks and hikes. These walks start and end from your hotel. "Sparkling,Clear Waters of the Sierras" Exploring Lanjaron's Waterways and River Valley. This walking holiday covers forested hillsides, irrigation channels, old ruined refuges, hilltop "ermitas" and rocky ridges. All with superlative views of the town below and snow capped Sierra Nevada mountains above.

We start the walk at the bridge that goes over the Rio Lanjaron at the far eastern side of the town. We ascend up an old mule track before turning South East and going back above Lanjaron before dropping down to the Ermita Tajos de la Cruz. A fabulous viewpoint. A straightforward roadside walk leads us back to the town.
This circular walk takes us up and around the Rio Lanjaron, right above the town which gives for some great views! The walk visits Cuestas de la Sierra, Rio-Lanjaron, Acequias de la Secarta and Aceituno. Look out for the mountain goats!
Walk around the southern and Eastern parts of Lanjaron including, Ermita Tajos de la Cruz, Mimbron, the rocky ridge of Tajos Colorado and ending with a ascent past the arab castle back to Lanjaron. Some sensational views towards the town with the Sierra Nevada in the backdrop.
The Spa town of Lanjaron is famous for it's waters. This circular walk of the town ascends along the side of the Rio to reach old buildings at Tello. The descent comes back parallel to the ancient waterways (acequias) before dropping back into Lanjaron.
